This property boasts a rich history, with evidence of continuous use since prehistoric times and archaeological remains from the Early Bronze Age. The area is believed to have been used as a sacred place of worship and later as a refuge during the Islamic invasion and the Christian reconquest of Mallorca. The castle itself has remnants that suggest Roman and Byzantine occupation, and it played a significant role in the continuous clashes for the ownership of the Kingdom of Mallorca. Following a major private investment, the property underwent a significant intervention from 2010-2011, consisting of urgent consolidation actions and new restoration interventions under the direction of a multidisciplinary team of experts, coordinated by the architect D. Rafael Balaguer Prunés. Although the castle fell into disuse in the 15th century and was sold by the State to a private owner in 1811, it remains a unique and fascinating piece of history.
